Welcome to A2B Driver Training, a well-established driving school in Norwich, Norfolk. With over two decades of experience in providing driving lessons, our school has a proven track record of training competent and confident drivers. Our lead instructor, Steve Roberts, is known for his professional and patient approach to teaching, ensuring that all students receive the best possible instruction while feeling comfortable and at ease.

Our Instructor and Vehicle

Steve Roberts has been a driving instructor since 1998 and has accumulated a wealth of experience teaching people of all ages and backgrounds. Steve's teaching style is based on patience and understanding, as he firmly believes that this is the key to success. He has a DBS (formerly CRB) check and is registered with the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) under the code of practice. Our training vehicle is a manual Honda Jazz SE, which is equipped with safety features, offers excellent visibility, and has a smooth gearbox. This car has been specifically chosen for its suitability for learner drivers, making it an ideal choice for your lessons.

Types of Lessons

1. Beginner Lessons: These lessons are designed for those who have no prior driving experience. You will learn all the car controls, coordination, observational skills, speed and distance judgement, and spacial awareness. Our syllabus follows the DVSA's guidelines, and you can choose the pace at which you learn. We recommend that you start your theory training along with these lessons, as it helps with understanding road markings and signs, contributing to increased confidence while driving.

2. Partly Trained: If you have had lessons before or have some driving experience, these lessons will help you build on your existing skills and address any gaps in your knowledge or abilities. We will assess your current driving skills and design a tailored lesson plan to suit your needs. It is essential to pass your theory test if you have not done so already, as it is a prerequisite for booking a practical driving test.

Additional Services

1. Learner Driver Insurance: We offer flexible short-term learner driver insurance policies with Collingwood Insurance from 1.49 per day. These policies cover any car in Group 15 or less and under 20,000 in value, allowing you to insure multiple vehicles for private practice without affecting the owner's no-claims discount.

2. Theory Test Preparation: You can access official practice tests and the latest COVID-19 advice on the Direct Gov theory pages. Remember, libraries offer free resources, such as DVSA theory test training books and online information.
